Heart Chakra Meditations: “ I am protected. I am safe. I am loved. I love myself”

The heart chakra  (Anahata or padma-sundara) governs our interactions as we reach out to touch and embrace other people. Keeping the balance between personal needs and the needs of others is the function of the heart chakra. Expansion, growth and freedom are all prerequisted for a healthy and mature heart chakra. (sue and simon lilly)

When thinking about the heart chakra, you can't help but think of LOVE. It really IS all about LOVE. This chakra is right in the center of us. It lives between the lower chakras (Root, Sacral, Naval) and the upper chakras (Throat, Third Eye, and Crown) it is the balance the core of who and what we are spiritually, physically and emotionally. Green is the color of the rich earths, the color of our harvest...is it no surprise that we choose GREEN to the be color of our money! Abundance is all around us, and in us. We are all at the beginning. Each day is new. Each day is a promise of healing and abundance. Water the ideas and thoughts that are beautiful. Arch Angel Raphael is the   Angel who will help us get in touch with this chakra. His color is green. Archangel Raphael
Archangel Raphael is a sage, a seer, gives healing both physically and emotionally through giving and receiving love.
The words associated with this Archangel are healing, communication, knowledge and vision.
This Angel encourages you to communicate and share you inner wisdom to heal with thoughts, words and creativity and you should call on this Angel if you are doing group work or wishing to exchange knowledge and ideas.
The colours associated with this Archangel are shades of green. However the complimentary colour of green is pink (see Chamuel) and I sometimes use both colours.

For the saint today I feel Saint Francis coming in very strong. http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=50 Saint Francis could have lived a very easy, very wealthy life with all the pleasures and promise of mankind. His calling was that of love. He loved people, animals, and the earth. He was an artist and a healer. Please read this poem he wrote: The Canticle of the Sun

by Francis of Assisi

Most high, all powerful, all good Lord! All praise is yours, all glory, all honor, and all blessing. To you, alone, Most High, do they belong. No mortal lips are worthy to pronounce your name.
Be praised, my Lord, through all your creatures, especially through my lord Brother Sun, who brings the day; and you give light through him. And he is beautiful and radiant in all his splendor! Of you, Most High, he bears the likeness.
Be praised, my Lord, through Sister Moon and the stars; in the heavens you have made them, precious and beautiful.
Be praised, my Lord, through Brothers Wind and Air, and clouds and storms, and all the weather, through which you give your creatures sustenance.
Be praised, My Lord, through Sister Water; she is very useful, and humble, and precious, and pure.
Be praised, my Lord, through Brother Fire, through whom you brighten the night. He is beautiful and cheerful, and powerful and strong.
Be praised, my Lord, through our sister Mother Earth, who feeds us and rules us, and produces various fruits with colored flowers and herbs.
Be praised, my Lord, through those who forgive for love of you; through those who endure sickness and trial. Happy those who endure in peace, for by you, Most High, they will be crowned.
Be praised, my Lord, through our Sister Bodily Death, from whose embrace no living person can escape. Woe to those who die in mortal sin! Happy those she finds doing your most holy will. The second death can do no harm to them.
Praise and bless my Lord, and give thanks, and serve him with great humility.
