Angelic Visitation.

So I have recently started working very closely with my angels. I started channeling, well, in all honesty I have been channeling for a long time, I just did not call it that, or allow myself to open to it fully. But now, I am grounded, protected and aware. Since I have opened myself to them, I am receiving a lot of feedback and support! I have even been invited to take part in what is called an "Angel Visitation Experiment" where I open my home to angelic being to work with me closely and intimately for one week, then I send them off to a new home to work with others. I am so excited. It starts the 29th. I will be sure to write my experience's down.

Food for Baby...

I used ice cube trays with a lid and a plastic bottom & I bought something like this http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=537637&parentCategoryId=85181&categoryId=85206 She is all about snacks now, so those containers work perfect for cheerios, and are great to throw in the diaper bag as I run out the door!

For my babies  first foods, I made all of her first foods. It made me feel good, since I worry non stop...plus have you tried to eat that stuff they make for kids? YUK. Baby  loves mango and avacado!  So weird, I bet I did not have avacado or mango until I was in high school!

The left over cubes of pureed food work great now as a fruit ice pop for her teething--http://www.amazon.com/Mesh-Teething-Baby-Feeder-Feeding/dp/B000056JCY.

And, have you read Jessica Sienfiel's cook book? http://www.amazon.com/Deceptively-Delicious-Simple-Secrets-Eating/dp/0061251348

I have made a few of her recipe's and they ARE GOOD!

I bought one of those small cuisinart's for her food. Works great. She is just moving up to table foods now, I take our meal and just chop up a little portion--she is "stage 3" and doing really well with most foods. She has the mashing and the finger grasp down. I always laugh when I feed her, she likes to play in it--I let her get all messy, it is too funny not to let her have at it!  I think she might be allergic to pumpkin or curry, she had a little rash after she shared some soup i made with me last week, but it could have just been coincidence...I will try again later and really watch to see.  I was nervous about eggs but we just tried egg yolks and that went fine , so far so good!

Conscious Mom

Conversation with a friend:

Friend: how was your summer!?

Me: lovely, very busy, flew by, and she is growing so fast.

Friend: I know, and I haven't even met her yet!

Me: I try to be in each moment with her, but it just takes my breath away, she is always growing/leanring...amazing!

  • i hope you two can meet soon!

Friend: You make motherhood sound magical!

    Me: It is.

    Friend:
    • You HAVE to do something with it
    • career-wise called 'conscious mom' or something

      Me:  I would love to

And, I would love to. I have been thinking about it. Brainstorming....So How can I?

Crown Chakra: “I AM OM"(say 10X in the mirror)

The crown chakra, or Sahasrara, is also known as the thousand petalled lotus. This center is found at the very top and center of the head. The crown chakra represents pure consciousness, and is the center of our super-conscious minds. The Vedic taught that here we find universal consciousness and unity through transcendental consciousness.
Fully activating this chakra can take years of patient study in the esoteric arts. But anyone can benefit greatly from the pursuit of enlightenment through such practices as daily meditation, yoga, and constant mindfulness.Become aware of the crown chakra and perhaps motivate you toward further study.

I think more then anything this chakra is about feeling connected to divine. You can define divine anyway you like, GOD, GODDESS, UNIVERSE, MOTHER EARTH, NATURE...It is all the same. People often focus on this chakra, and skip the others. But know that you can not have a truely enlightened experience unless you travel up the chakras and awake them all. Just like a tree, the bigger and broader the root system for that tree the larger and more beautiful the tree, the branches, the leaves and the blossom.

For me the the saint and angel is the same, it is JESUS CHRIST. For he is a true awakened master on earth, and my God. It is he whom I try to live like, embody and, through him I hope to enter the kingdom of heaven...

Brow/Third Eye Chakra Meditations: “ I listen. I trust. I am divinely guided. I love myself”

The Brow Chakra is associated with the color indigo or violet. Color: Violet. Violet is universal love, selflessness and understanding. The Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) is associated with clear sight and clear insight. It is also often referred to as the "third eye" or the "mind center." Brow chakra is located between the brows in the inward center of the forehead. The brow or third eye chakra is our avenue to wisdom - learning from our experiences and putting them in perspective. Our ability to separate real world from fantasy is in connection with the healthfulness of this chakra. through developing impersonal intuitive reasoning we expand our consciousness.

This chakra is probably the most well known, and I don't know if that is a good thing. The idea of a 3rd eye, and intuition has embedded itself into just about every culture. Most people see psychic abilities, or a "second sight" as some kind of joke. A bad actor making up things so she or he can get a buck. Yes, there are most definitely charlatans out there. But, just like stereotypes, they are based on truth and greatly exaggerated. EVERYONE has intuition and a second sight. We have all thought about someone randomly, and PRESTO! The phone rings. There is a knock on the door. You run into them at a store. That is not random. It is a sense of our higher self. We are all connected energetically. You were just tapping into that flow. For a moment.  We all carry with us,  a deep, deep well of wisdom and knowledge. We are KNOWING BEINGS. We are capable of a great deal more then we allow ourselves. To tap into the third eye, does not mean, that suddenly you see ghosts and auras and channel spirits. It means you will discover  or re-introduce yourself to a knowing and wise part of yourself that you never acknowledged. It means you will feel more connected to everything and everyone. It means you will begin to flow easier through life. Learning lessons through joy, and not tragedy. You will feel divinely guided. The Angel I am working with today is:
Angel Asariel
The words associated with this Angel are emotions, dreams, intuition and creativity. Asariel has dominion over the waters of the world and the abundance of life within and so guides the deep ocean of your spirits. Asariel watches over your emotions and the ebb and flow of life, encouraging creativity and teaching through dreams and inner wisdom.
The colours associated with this Angel are aqua and blue.
I was originally thinking of using Saint Hildegard because she was a seer, a healer and had prophetic visions. http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07351a.htm but in my meditation--I kept seeing a dove. And a dove, symbolizes the holy spirit. Which in so many ways resonates with the concept of the brow chakra. To those that are not Catholic, this idea may seem weird. But the holy spirit is what guides us all. It is the "flow" we often talk about. I am Catholic, and see the trinity as a very important part of my life. But, I found a non-catholic website that has a beautiful definition of the holy spirit. http://www.thevoiceforlove.com/holy-spirit.html "The Holy Spirit is the bridge to God within you. It is the part of your mind—the part of your Spirit—that is joined with the Mind of God. The Holy Spirit is the Voice for God and acts as a reminder to all of God's children of the unconditional love that God has for them.

God loves His children so much that He wanted His children to always know that they are safe, they are loved, and they are whole. God extended the Holy Spirit as a way to ensure that God’s children would always know these things. God gave this Voice to His children, and this Voice is now a part of them. It is the eternal perspective of Truth, Love, and Reality that cannot be taken from God's children. It is the Voice of God instilled within and the ever‑present reminder to God's children of the Truth of Who and What they are and the Love their Father has for them.
By extending the Holy Spirit, God provided a way to bring His Voice into each of His children as they went out into the world so that they could always remember the Truth of Who and What they are. The Holy Spirit's function and purpose is to bring God’s Voice to each of God’s children, guiding them, directing them, loving them, and restoring their thinking to God's.
Little by little, as you hear, recognize, understand, and become aware of the Holy Spirit in different ways—through your thinking, correcting a thought with this Voice, recognizing this Voice in another, sharing this Voice with a friend, and so on— the Holy Spirit is brought into the world and given to each of God’s children. This Voice is recognized in each of God’s children and used as a reminder for God’s children of the Truth so that they can overcome the world.
The Holy Spirit was given to each of God’s Children by God, put within each one, and is now a part of them. It is not to think that the Holy Spirit is separate from you, is really only a part of God, or will one day be separate, because in Truth, the Holy Spirit is a part of you. It has now been blended and melted into you. That is why it is important to recognize this Voice of God in everyone you meet because It is part of them as well.
The Holy Spirit is within each of God’s children and cannot be extracted. It is there as a constant Resource, Companion, and speaker of Truth no matter what you think you have done, what you think you are doing, or what you think you might do. This Voice for Love within you holds no judgments, never condemns, and only remembers your true Perfection. In that is the impossibility of sin or anything related to it.
It is not possible for the Holy Spirit to judge you in any way because this part of God can only see the Truth of who you are and not who you think you are. God’s Voice is within your mind and is ever available to you to restore your thinking to Truth. In any moment you decide that you do not want to participate in the belief of separation—if you decide you want peace, if you decide you want to remember Who you are and What you are— the Holy Spirit is there within you waiting to join with you in Truth. It has been within you since your first step into the world and offers you an alternative to pain and suffering, to fear and loathing, to vengeance and death. This Voice for Love within you offers you Peace, Oneness, Truth, and everlasting Life.

Throat Chakra Meditations: “I am speaking my truth. I am free. I love myself”

The Throat Charka (Vissuddha) seeks communication and clear expression. The Throat Chakra-is about finding peace. This Chakra helps brings our own truth into the world, and to aid us in communicating how we feel and think. It is about speaking one’s truth!

The throat chakra, makes me takes pause and think about language. Body Language, Sign Language, Spoken Word. My little baby is 7 months and I have been watching her communicate since birth. Every cry has a meaning, every sound, syllable, is so meaningful. Her MMM-MMM. Turned into Ma-Ma-Ma, and soon she knew my name. We are hard wired to communicate--to be in communion with one another.
com·mun·ion/kəˈmyo͞onyən/Noun

1. The sharing or exchanging of intimate thoughts and feelings, esp. when the exchange is on a mental or spiritual level.
2. Common participation in a mental or emotional experience.

Hearing MaMa from the mouth of my little babe gives me more joy then I can ever even begin to describe. When she was born, I knew her cries, I woke up two seconds before she did. Her gibberish might mean nothing to you, but to me it has a million meanings. It is a profound experience for me, to see my little one, learning and talking and communicating with me. We are all here to speak our truth, to talk, to love, to be. Today the Arch Angel and Saint are both Angels. Archangel MichaelThe Archangel Michael is the Angel of courage, strength and protection and he will stand by your side with his mighty sword and shield, ready to protect you.
The Archangel is associated with this words truth, courage, strength, success and faith. Call on Michael's mighty sword to protects you, cutting through the cords that bind you to people, places and things.
If you are afraid, lack courage or in need of protection, imagine his protective cloak around you, helping you to speak and live your truth.
Michael is a mighty warrior and will give you initiative, willpower, drive and energy to follow your path and complete tasks without too much effort. He will help you to develop the strength and focus needed to be successful.
The colours associated with this Angel are dark peacock blue and turquoise.

My patron saint is Arch Angel Gabriel, Gabriel has become a huge part of my life in the last 5 years. In fact, He, Raphael,  and Michael--in many ways brought me to recent conversion to Catholicism. AA Gabriel is the patron saint of communication. He appeared in the bible (old and new) a number of times but his most known role was in telling Mary, Mother of Jesus, that was full of Grace and he explained her mission and purpose to her. She did not argue, she simply accepted her divine path with grace and dignity despite how impossible it must have seemed at the time. Gabriel teaches us to speak and know our truth, to follow our divine path.  Archangel Gabriel
Let Archangel Gabriel's shining light surround you with protection to guide you through your darkest moments, keeping loved ones safe. Imagine the people and things you want to protect surrounded by pure white light and Gabriel will keep them safe.
The words associated with this Archangel are protection, intuition, clarity and discipline.
In order to follow your higher path, Gabriel gives you the discipline and guidance to take the first steps, followed by vision and clarity to follow that path. Sometimes your life choices can be hard but Archangel Gabriel will be with you all the way.
The colours of this Archangel are gold and white.

Heart Chakra Meditations: “ I am protected. I am safe. I am loved. I love myself”

The heart chakra  (Anahata or padma-sundara) governs our interactions as we reach out to touch and embrace other people. Keeping the balance between personal needs and the needs of others is the function of the heart chakra. Expansion, growth and freedom are all prerequisted for a healthy and mature heart chakra. (sue and simon lilly)

When thinking about the heart chakra, you can't help but think of LOVE. It really IS all about LOVE. This chakra is right in the center of us. It lives between the lower chakras (Root, Sacral, Naval) and the upper chakras (Throat, Third Eye, and Crown) it is the balance the core of who and what we are spiritually, physically and emotionally. Green is the color of the rich earths, the color of our harvest...is it no surprise that we choose GREEN to the be color of our money! Abundance is all around us, and in us. We are all at the beginning. Each day is new. Each day is a promise of healing and abundance. Water the ideas and thoughts that are beautiful. Arch Angel Raphael is the   Angel who will help us get in touch with this chakra. His color is green. Archangel Raphael
Archangel Raphael is a sage, a seer, gives healing both physically and emotionally through giving and receiving love.
The words associated with this Archangel are healing, communication, knowledge and vision.
This Angel encourages you to communicate and share you inner wisdom to heal with thoughts, words and creativity and you should call on this Angel if you are doing group work or wishing to exchange knowledge and ideas.
The colours associated with this Archangel are shades of green. However the complimentary colour of green is pink (see Chamuel) and I sometimes use both colours.

For the saint today I feel Saint Francis coming in very strong. http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=50 Saint Francis could have lived a very easy, very wealthy life with all the pleasures and promise of mankind. His calling was that of love. He loved people, animals, and the earth. He was an artist and a healer. Please read this poem he wrote: The Canticle of the Sun

by Francis of Assisi

Most high, all powerful, all good Lord! All praise is yours, all glory, all honor, and all blessing. To you, alone, Most High, do they belong. No mortal lips are worthy to pronounce your name.
Be praised, my Lord, through all your creatures, especially through my lord Brother Sun, who brings the day; and you give light through him. And he is beautiful and radiant in all his splendor! Of you, Most High, he bears the likeness.
Be praised, my Lord, through Sister Moon and the stars; in the heavens you have made them, precious and beautiful.
Be praised, my Lord, through Brothers Wind and Air, and clouds and storms, and all the weather, through which you give your creatures sustenance.
Be praised, My Lord, through Sister Water; she is very useful, and humble, and precious, and pure.
Be praised, my Lord, through Brother Fire, through whom you brighten the night. He is beautiful and cheerful, and powerful and strong.
Be praised, my Lord, through our sister Mother Earth, who feeds us and rules us, and produces various fruits with colored flowers and herbs.
Be praised, my Lord, through those who forgive for love of you; through those who endure sickness and trial. Happy those who endure in peace, for by you, Most High, they will be crowned.
Be praised, my Lord, through our Sister Bodily Death, from whose embrace no living person can escape. Woe to those who die in mortal sin! Happy those she finds doing your most holy will. The second death can do no harm to them.
Praise and bless my Lord, and give thanks, and serve him with great humility.

The Naval/Solar Plexus Chakra meditations: “I am strong. I am successful. I love myself”

"The Solar Plexusn also known as Naval (Manipura, or dashapatra)  is  associated  with the element of fire  because it takes raw materials and transforms them. In nearly all spiritual philosphies  the wisdom of the self  has been compared to the light of the sun. The perfect clarity of the solar plexus chakra clearly illuminates everything for what it is.”
(sue and simon lilly)

Today when I think on the Solar Plexus, the word Solar seems to catch me. Solar, Sun, Center.

Our world revolved around the sun. We need it's light, heat, energy to survive. Much the same with this chakra. It is the center of us, truly. The phrase "go with your gut" literally refers to your solar plexus, you sun, your center. your higher self lives here.  Those seedlings and saplings I was meditating on the last two days would die without the sun! So this chakra teaches us self-love, self-awareness, and self-trust. Confidence, and worth are sometimes hard to come by. Everyone judges each other, and judges themselves based on some odd rules and bylines written eyons ago. Be yourself. I am feeling a lot of that today &trying to get reacquainted with what that means! Today I seem to be doing a lot of contemplating on where I have been, where I am in the moment and where I am headed. I find myself making my own happiness today. Things that would normally aggravate me, or worry me are seeming very inconsequential. I heard once "you make your own happiness" and today I can see that statement for what it is. We carry this body with us, we carry our thoughts with us, we see what we choose to see, we think what we want to think...so our outer world is a reflection of our inner world. You are your own worst enemy--Love thyself--The kingdom of God is within--all these sayings reflect this truth.  As we continue to reflect on this chakra and our relationship to it, you may want to get help from Archangel Jophiel
Jophiel brings understanding to illuminate your path in life, bringing enlightenment, health and wealth.
The words associated with this Archangel are joy, wisdom, insight, inspiration and intuition. Call on Jophiel for those sudden flashes of inspiration and answers to ongoing problems, as well as developing intuition, inner wisdom and insight.
Jophiel brings JOY, laughter and light, removing negativity. Call on this Angel for help with studying, examinations and concentration or if you are giving a talk or presentation.
The colour associated with this Archangel is yellow.

-In terms of saints, I have been meditating and pondering this a great deal. The saint that comes in the strongest for me is Mary Magdalene. known as the "Apostle to the Apostles. Her identity has been mistaken and slandered by many. She is a woman who must have had difficulty finding her truth and being a disciple of Jesus at a time when women were not accepted or welcomed - let alone to preach. She is misunderstood, slandered not only in life but in death. She is a woman who has divine inner truth and follows it despite what the world says and will say.

Sacral Chakra Meditations- “I AM CREATIVE. I AM SEXY. I LOVE MYSELF”

"The Sacral Chakra (svadisthan)is the reservoir of our life energy from which energy is channelled or directed  through the rest of the body. Spontaneous enjoyment of experience , exploration of the senses and play are all characteristicss of this chakra, stimulating our ability to learn and develop as individuals.” (sue and simon lilly)

SACRAL CHAKRA: Today as I focus on Sacral Energy I am looking at life from the perspective of the seed once again. Seeds are the outcome of planting, of roots. You can not have a blossom without your roots. You water your seedlings even before they ever show above the surface. Water is like our thoughts and energy that we put into this seedling. We watch the earth waiting. Will it grow, will it be a weed or a rose? When it peeks above the earth all we see is just a seedling, small, vulnerable yet capable of so much. Every idea is a seed. Good or Bad. We plant these thoughts and they blossom into our reality. We give birth to so much in this world. Unfortunately so much of what we bring forth is what we do not want. I heard somewhere recently that we have over 60,000 thoughts a day-- 90% of which are repetitive. Are those 90% what we want to be watering our seedling with? What do we want to plant in our life? Are we are giving 90% of our energy towards loving, creating and joy?  We need to raise our vibration. All of us, consciously need to replace that 90% with brilliance.  If we did could you imagine how lovely this world could be? What beautiful seeds we would plant and nourish and grow?! The potential for brilliance we as humanity capable of giving birth to? This chakra is about creativity and fertility. The act of making something. Bringing things or beings into this world! As a young girl I use to be so uncomfortable with my fertility. I so did not want to "get pregnant" that I lost sight of the fact that fertility is not just about procreation, it is about planting beautiful thoughts, images, and messages in this world for myself and others. I consciously rejected a beautiful & creative part of myself. Now, that I have a baby and have experienced the miracle of pregnancy, birth and life itself,  I can not contain myself with awe over this miraculous world and what we can do. I want to bring beauty into this world for my self, my daughter, my family, my friends, strangers, politicians, everyone. I want to manifest love and light everywhere I go. Archangel Cassiel
The colours associated with this Archangel are earth colours, from rich russets and browns to oranges.  The words associated with this Archangel are good fortune, luck, purpose and positivity. Cassiel is the Angel of good fortune, helping you to create your own 'luck' so you can reap the vast rewards of positive thinking. His greatest gifts are patience and strengthening inner convictions giving us strength to work hard, have inner discipline and belief in ourselves.  For my catholic saint, Mother Mary is coming in very strong for me. This chakra is literally located three fingers below the naval--where the womb of a woman lies. Mary held Jesus in her womb. She helped to manifest God on earth. She gave birth to a man who literally changed time and consciousnesses on earth.

ROOT CHAKRA MEDITATIONS

"The Base Chakra (Muladhara) is the pioneer, always willing to go where no one has gone before and to do things that have never been done. Without the grounding influence of the base chakra our system would be constantly upset by changing energy tides around us."
(sue and simon lilly)

Today as I focus on Root Chakra I am looking at life from the perspective of a tree. We begin as roots before we ever truely blossom as a seed. You see the seedling only long after the roots have begun. Root Chakra teaches us to be grounded first and thus we ENJOY LIFE...It also teaches you to be a part of this physical world. Today walk barefoot, jump up and down, play a drum, dance to music, love life, buy yourself RED ROSES, enjoy a piece of chocolate and glass of red wine! Treat yourself like the divine being you are! Renew your passion for life! If you would like to pray to ARCH ANGEL SAMMAEL he will help you! The colour associated with this Archangel is red. The words associated with this Archangel are victory, stamina, courage, leadership and passion. Sammael gives courage and stamina to overcome adversity and liberate the soul. He rules over battlefields and represents the warrior, guiding ambition, drive and passion, as well as the pursuit of love and romance. For those that are Catholic (like myself) Pray to Saint Therese of Lisieux, for guidnace. She is allso known as little flower. She has a very traumatic and short lived life, yet left joy and love everywhere she went. Her symbol is the red rose, wherever she felt needed beauty and miracles she left red rose petals she said " Love proves itself by deeds, so how am I to show my love?...The only way I can prove my love is by scattering flowers and these flowers are every little sacrifice, every glance and word, and the doing of the least actions for love."  (for more info on her http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=105)

Revision:  Last Night St. Therese explained to me that while she was grounded in her Christian faith her strength of power was not her root but her heart. Saint Joseph came in clear and strong to me last night. Of course Saint Joseph, the Father of Jesus should be our Root Energy focus. This grounded saint and father of Christianity is a wonderful source of wisdom and power. Much is not known about this man except for his "adpotion" of Jesus and Marraige to Mary. But when you look at the story of Jesus (what we know) from his perspective you must see how strong and wise this man was. He was logical and loving. He was from a royal lineage but worked simply with his hands and heart. He was above all compassionate. He is the only man to be called RIGHTEOUS in the entire bible. That says something. Look to him for guidance in being in the moment, not getting too hot headed and upset before you pause to consider and relfect on all aspects of a situation and to have empathy towards others and to be rooted in the love of family at all times. http://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=4

Chakra Detox Diet II, Eating with Intention....

Hello friends!

As some of you know I am now a full time Mommy! Life is of course wonderful, and I am very blessed. Being a stay at home Mom is allowing me the freedom to tap into my nurturing, creative and spiritual side, more so then ever before. As some of you know I love being a food-ee and cook bake all the time. It is funny how being a Mom seems to equal FOOD- so much of my life revolves around food. Nursing, Pumping, Bottles, Pureeing baby food, and finding time to cook and eat for my husband and myself. It has all brought me back to thinking how important food is. How crucial it is to who we are.   Food is elemental, and we have all heard “ you are what you eat” before. Well, it holds truth. I have been working on my relationship with food for some time, I would like to go deeper, and was hoping you might want to join me as I learn more about my outer self, my inner self and my relationship to food. Would you like to join me in a….

CHAKRA DETOX- "As above, so below. As within, so without"

chak·ra/ˈCHäkrə (noun) Each of the centers of spiritual power in the human body, usually considered to be seven in number.

Chakra’s are our natural energy center or core. We all have them. If you know the rainbow, you know the chakra’s. There is the Root chakra (RED), the sacral chakra (ORANGE), solar plexus chakra (YELLOW), heart chakra (GREEN), throat chakra (BLUE), brow chakra (INDIGO) and crown chakra (VIOLET). Each energy center relates to how we relate to the world, how we act in the world, and how we manifest joy, love, abundance, etc. A while back I was just learning about chakras and felt a natural connection between food and chakras. It was something that I could understand and see and feel.  Last year I took Reiki I and II (a form of energy healing) which deepened my awareness and curiosity of our chakra’s.

So, last year I made my own chakra diet—making it up as I went a long and it was very successful (and difficult) for me! I was not perfect, I messed up a lot, but I learned a lot too. As you know there are 7 chakras, so I did a 7 week chakra diet. It was intense. And it is not just about food, even though that was a big part of it for me. It is about setting the intention on that chakra and learning about it. I wore the color of each chakra for a week, ate food with that color/intent, I studied and learned about each chakra as I went along. Basically I ate, slept, and thought about the chakra I was working on for that week intensely. Some weeks were easier then others. I learned that some chakra’s flow easier for me then for others.   After the chakra cleanse I was able to see where I needed work (simply by what was more challenging for me!) and found a lot of great books and resources on the Internet such as blogs, you tube meditation videos, and articles.

And,

I would like to plan another chakra detox, learning from what I did last time and I hope this cleanse will be even better. But, this time I would like to have with others doing it with me. I will lead the group, share the research and info I found during my last detox and we can have an on-line forum for discussions, (where if you know something you can add to it too). I  can give recipe suggestions and on-the-phone feedback when ever needed. The great thing about this is, you EAT. But is a detox so by the end you are fasting.

I am going to start with a one week crash course chakra detox to get me back into the mindset and Kick start those of you who think 7 weeks is waaaay too much!

I plan on starting the next chakra detox on the next new moon, which is Saturday July 30th-until Friday August 5th. This is purely for fun and enlightenment! I think we will all teach each other a lot on this journey.

So are you up for a fun challenge??!! If so, let me know! I will send you a starter kit, and create a facebook group for us to chat/share etc. Each day I will email you recipe’s, hints, tips, and tricks on what that chakra IS and how to focus on it as we build up the rainbow starting with ROOT/RED on the 30th and finish with our CROWN/VIOLET. I like to start on a new moon because it is a great time to start new ventures/projects and set intentions for your future. I call it seed planting time. Every idea or goal is a seed, at the new moon you plant, at the full moon you harvest!

Keep in mind that the last day will be a fast—I suggest tea, water, smoothies, fresh squeeze juice only….if you can. If you have any health problems or have never fasted before, you can modify as you see fit. For example, I will probably do brown rice/bread and liquids, because I am breastfeeding and don’t want to put too much stress on my body.

What you need:
*A full fridge FULL of fresh veggies and fruits! Just buy  A LOT of veggies, try to buy  a RAINBOW arrangement of them! J Think ROYGBIV.
*I start each day with a juice or smoothie, so it would be great if you had a blender or juicer.
*Open attitude and heart, willingness to learn and heal yourself in and out!
*ability to share with others, things you know that might help others, or challenges so others can help you!

After the one week cleanse is over we can move on to a full 7 week challenge in the fall, that one will be much more intense and a big commitment.

So please let me know if you want to join me!!

* I mentioned earlier that I am a certified reiki practitioner, having completed Reiki I & II in NYC. I hope to receive my final attunement (master) in the fall. If you would like to receive reiki before or after the detox let me know. I can do it, or I can suggest MY TEACHER, Natalie Berthold from www.sproutinglove.com

***I would like more practice in giving Reiki healing before my attunement and would like to ask if you or anyone you know anyone who would like to receive Reiki to please let me know.  As I am a stay at home Mom, for in person healing it would need to be evenings/weekends and in the Greenwich/Stamford, CT area where I am based. (As I do not have an office, I was thinking in home healing sessions.)  Distant healings of course could be anytime/anywhere.

In person healings-$40 for one hour session or 4 for $140.00
Distant healings-$20 for one hour session or 4 for $70.00
(*Payments can be made to my paypal account via staigepatchy@yahoo.com)

Please feel free to offer advice/spread the word.

Thank You,
PS: I have a lot of other workshops and projects that I keep thinking of, and I will want to share them with you-- my fellow friends on this spiritual journey and invite you to perhaps join me on my path for a bit while I dig deeper and follow my highest path! My chakra's are blossoming....

My chakra's are blossoming....
In meditation, I asked for a visual of my chakra's. Flowers came to mind and soon each chakra had it's own flower, some were in full blossom, others were buds just beginning to emerge.

Root: Dogwood
Sacral: Sunflower
Solar Plexus: Forsythia
Heart: Rose (white rose bud)
Throat: Lavender
Third Eye: White Violet
Crown: Marigold

Marigold
The marigold is symbolic of loving sacrifice. It reminds us of the sacrifice parents make for their children and that we should remember and thank our parents for theirs.

Violet
Modesty and Simplicity

Lavender
Lavender is symbolic of magic, love, protection, healing, and vision. It reminds us to believe in the impossible but more than anything it reminds us of the power and beauty of love.

Rose
The rose is symbolic of love, strength through silence, and passion. It reminds us to savor the beauty in silence and to gain the wisdom it has to offer.

Forsythia
Anticipation

Sunflower
The sunflower is symbolic of opportunities and happiness. It reminds us to remain a child at heart. It also reminds us to take advantage of opportunities as they come our way. We only live once and we only have one chance to grasp them before they pass us by

Dogwood
Durability

A new chapter.

A lot of my family is upset with me right now, or at least confused. I recently completed my rite of election into the Catholic Church. At the Easter vigil, I was baptized and confirmed. This past weekend my daughter received her baptism as well. No one but my Sister came to my daughters baptism. That made me very sad. For those that know me in different chapters of my life, they see this as shocking. A Catholic? But to me it all makes sense. First of all, as a Mother I want to be able to be a part of my daughters spiritual journey. My husbands faith tradition is Catholicism. He told me over and over I did not have to become Catholic, or that we had to raise our daughter as Catholic. But, I was without a spiritual foundation, which in some regards was very liberating, but often lonely and sad. As a Mother, I want a tradition of faith as a foundation. I knew I wanted to raise my daughter with some church, I was just not sure which. I went shopping for a church. I found a Catholic parish that was so welcoming and felt connected to it, when in their bulletin last Easter they mentioned Eostre (Ostara) and the pagan foundation for the festivities that the non-secular world participates in freely. (Spring, Easter Bunny, etc). I joined their RCIA class. I challenged and questioned these little 'ole ladies within an inch of themselves. They challenged me back too. They made me reflect and meditate and evaluate a lot of my belief systems. Sometimes we agreed. Sometimes not. I loved it. My husband went to every class with me, at home the discussions were lively and exciting. It helped us really get on the same page spiritually for our daughter. As a family, we were really melding. This exploration was truly a gift for us as new-to-be parents.

So the Question.. WHY A Catholic? Yes. And why not. I love the Holy Spirit. I love God. I love Jesus. I love incense, and candles, and  ceremony. I love Angels, Saints and Guides. I pray to my Arch Angels daily. I feel their presence and blessing in my life. I feel energy, spirits, guides. I have chosen my patron saint as Arch Angel Gabriel. I am a reiki practioner. I believe I can channel the healing energy of God through me to others. Why then not see a priest as able to turn bread into Christ? When I receive the Eucharist, I feel blessings and the energy of Grace. I meditate and use affirmations, this is what the rosary is! I love the history of the church, in that I see tradition. History. 2,000 years back hand to hand in a line that literally touches Jesus and the original disciples. In the ceremony and pageantry I see a Unity, a coming together of other faiths blending into one to make a brilliant tapestry of spiritual journey. I can revel in the beauty, the sights, the smells, the words, the energy, the blessings at each Mass.  I see the Catholic Church as a perfect fit for me. For my new family. A foundation and a beginning for my child. I have no doubt that some Catholics might not want me. I am sure if the Pope and I sat down our politics would differ a great deal. I look forward to someday going to Rome. :)

My life is profoundly different. I am a Mom. The birth, the breath, the life of my little girl is awe inspiring. I do not see how anyone who is a parent, but especially a Mother, can doubt the presence of God. I do not care how one defines God-LOVE, ENERGY, UNIVERSE, BIG DUDE IN THE SKY, all I know with conviction-is that there is a higher power.  For me, God is evident in each heart beat of my child, from the miracle of conception to right now as I watch her sleep--with each breath, each smile, every laugh orgiggle, and with each milestone--I know God is in our life. I have become to find that Motherhood in itself is a meditation in God's wisdom. Our children are so much closer to the source of heaven then we. They are our teachers. Yes, we may teach them 1,2,3 and what is cow and what is dog, and how to cross the street. But if we take a step back, we can learn so much about God, about the beauty of life from them. I see too often parents snuffing out the cosmic light that shines in a child. Trying to enforce our rules, ideas, vision on them. But, if we just take a step back. Look at life from a child's eye, you will see the beauty, the mystery, the joy of this life.

I see my spiritual journey as a never ending path.  I know I am in a very profound phase of my journey just beginning as a new Mother, a new Catholic.
